MomFitIdaho Disclaimer

Privacy of Information, Policies, Legal and Medical Disclaimer for MomFitIdaho.

Welcome to MomFitIdaho! My name is Maureen McGuire. I am a lifelong behavioral health practitioner committed to helping shape well-adjusted people to contribute to the development of healthy communities. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Idaho, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington, Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor in California, and National Certified Counselor.

I am not a medical professional. As the counselor leading MomFitIdaho, I am not providing healthcare, medical, or nutritional therapy services or attempting to diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any physical, mental, or emotional issues through this service. The information provided through MomFitIdaho is for informational purposes on life design, fitness, and healthy community through training and camaraderie in reaching your own goals with follow-up services, and is not intended to substitute professional medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment. Always seek advice from your physician or other qualified healthcare provider if you are in need of those specific services. Do not disregard medical advice or delay seeking additional help because of information you gain through MomFitIdaho, and do not start or stop any medications without speaking to your medical or mental health provider first.

My services through MomFitIdaho do not replace professional counseling and/or the care of your other healthcare professionals. While I am the licensed counselor providing the psychoeducation program and leading the online community, I am not YOUR personal counselor. (If you are interested in seeking individual counseling services with me, you may do so through Headway: https://care.headway.co/providers/maureen-mcguire.) All information provided does not establish any kind of patient-client relationship. Please note that I can’t take any responsibility for the results of your actions and any harm or damage you suffer as a result of the use, or non-use, of the information available through MomFitIdaho. Please use your discernment and conduct due diligence before taking any action or implementing any plan or practice suggested or recommended through Freedom Forever Behavioral Health Solutions.

Please note too that in the behavioral health world, MomFitIdaho is known as a closed psycho-education group for personal development. This means that MomFitIdaho participants, known as members, who choose to participate must seek to identify any mental health disturbances and/or symptoms that may need to be addressed in more detail with the help of a professional before, during, and/or after the 6-week training program. (The content of the psychoeducation can also serve as “bookends” to professional counseling and provide direction for those not in need of professional counseling.) Members agree to follow the 6-week training system in order of each week’s instructional session, completing each week’s session assignment before moving on to the next, and then consider signing up for the online support post-training for additional encouragement and accountability in reaching their personal goals.

MomFitIdaho is unique in that group sessions are not symptom-specific, but are designed to help moms address any obstacles that may be interfering with joy, self-acceptance, and personal growth. In this type of group, members establish goals and make use of the counseling concepts presented to help address and overcome barriers to goal completion. The idea is to begin forward movement toward consistent internal love and happiness by viewing life from a more hopeful lens using principles based on Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Erikson’s Stages of Psychosocial Development, and supported by the new community available to you to help promote the development of long-term healthy habits. The fee of $180 for the training program paid in full or $210 if paid weekly upon accepting the terms of this disclaimer. The follow-up cost for continued community support is $9/monthly. (Monetary investment helps ensure commitment needed to get the most from the experience and is less than the cost of most insurance counseling co-payments.)

The training curriculum is designed to help address any deficits that may have taken place during phase-of-life transitions. I do my best to provide content that is accurate and up to date per behavioral health guidelines from current research and will follow up with any additions or changes through the follow-up subscriptions. On some of the facts shared by you, they won’t necessarily reflect what’s accurate today.

The follow-up MomFitIdaho community is designed to help you stay on task to promote healthy personal development and a purpose-driven life. Research shows that the counseling concepts, techniques, tools, and strategies presented through MomFitIdaho increase the chances that reaching individual goals can evolve into long-term healthy habits when applied via a daily plan, but there are no guarantees. (Your success depends on your own commitment to implementing the plan consistently and seeking additional support when necessary.) The overarching group goal is to build a cohesive nucleus of motivated moms to support one another beyond the training session and be better prepared to navigate challenges that seek to separate you from all that is good.

For MomFitIdaho Members Follow Up:

Group session content directed at the goals, paralleling counseling concepts, may involve sharing some personal and sensitive information while experiencing self-exploration through the curriculum. Members are directed to maintain confidentiality to build rapport within any public group meetups, but I cannot guarantee it. I am also a mandated reporter which means that in some situations, I am required by law and by the guidelines of my profession to disclose information whether or not I have your permission. Some of those situations include the following:

  • You tell me you plan to cause serious harm or death to yourself, and I believe you have the intent and ability to carry out this threat in the very near future. I must take steps to inform a parent or guardian of what you have told me and how serious I believe this threat to be. I must make sure that you are protected from harming yourself.
  • You say that you plan to cause serious harm or death to someone else who can be identified, and I believe you have the intent and ability to carry out this threat in the very near future. In this situation, I must inform your parent or guardian, and I must inform the person who you intend to harm.
  • You are doing things that could cause serious harm to you or someone else, even if you do not intend to harm yourself or another person. In these situations, I will need to use my professional judgment to decide whether a next of kin should be informed.
  • You tell me you are being abused—physically, sexually, or emotionally—or that you have been abused in the past. In this situation, I am required by law to report the abuse to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and/or the Department of Social Services.

MomFitIdaho Members: Engaging in our MomFitIdaho training indicates that you have reviewed the policies described above and understand and accept the terms of the disclaimer for the MomFitIdaho training and the limits to confidentiality for any in-person meetings.
